A Very Busy Summer....

As summer comes to a close, we would like to thank everyone who supported our Main Street events this summer! We were thrilled to offer the Music on the Common concert series, featuring Radio Rehab, Ya Mon Mr. Hot Pepper, and Off Duty Angels. A fourth performer, Paul Lussier, was canceled due to inclement weather. We also hosted Morning Yoga on the Common with Mountain Base Yoga. All events were enthusiastically received by the community.

The GMSP Art Team would like to express their gratitude to all the fantastic artists & makers, volunteers, and especially our guests who braved the blistering heat to attend the 14th annual Uncommon Art on the Common. Despite the weather, it was a great success. "We also wish to thank our outstanding sponsors and business raffle tent donors: Apotheca Flowers, Berg Ink, Edward Jones/Gregg Flegal, Gallery of Frames, Goffstown Green Thumb Garden Center, Nicki French Fine Art Photography, Night Owl Quilting Studio, Putnam's Waterview Restaurant, Sawyer's Main Street Breakfast & Function Hall, Tiffany's Café & Catering, Zinnia & Birch, and 4:44 Candle Company. Your generosity is most appreciated!"

GMSP also added five new planters to Main Street this summer. The planters are dedicated to Eleanor Porritt for her lifelong service to Goffstown. Eleanor was a founding member of the Goffstown Main Street Program, as well as the Curator for the Goffstown Historical Society for 24 years. The planters were fully funded by the Eleanor Porritt Bequest our organization received from her estate. Eleanor loved our town, and we are honored to continue her legacy.

As we say goodbye to summer, we look forward to a busy fall and summer season on Main Street. Be sure to save the date for our Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off and Regatta on Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16.
