Second Chances Crazy Cool Consignments, a brand-new nonprofit boutique, is preparing to open its doors in the heart of Goffstown Village with a goal of redefining what local shopping can look like.
Located at 4 Main Street, Second Chances is a nonprofit consignment, thrift, and gift boutique with a mission that goes far beyond retail. The shop offers thoughtfully curated secondhand clothing ranging from $3 thrift bins to high-end designer pieces, ensuring there is truly something for everyone. Shoppers will also find unique goods from more than 20 New Hampshire–based artisans, including handmade soaps, jewelry, woodwork, and other beautiful, locally crafted items.
In addition to shopping, Second Chances is working to expand its offerings into botanical, adaptogenic, and intentional non-alcoholic beverages—creating a safe, healthy space for people to gather without alcohol. The goal is to foster connection, wellness, and inclusivity while offering a fun, “crazy cool” shopping experience.
The inspiration for Second Chances began as a deeply personal mission. Founder Sarah Hume set out to create a workspace filled with positive energy. From there, the vision expanded to include supporting individuals in the community with disabilities and emotional disturbances, helping them build strong foundations for future employment through meaningful, real-world experience. Sarah also hopes to partner with Goffstown High School to offer students valuable, hands-on learning opportunities. Although Sarah founded Second Chances, the store has been shaped by a deeply hands-on support system. Board members, family, friends and even a couple 4-legged friends have worked alongside her each day—stocking shelves, preparing the botanical bar, tagging items, and even developing a special in-store section featuring handmade goods called "Steph's Crazy Cool Stuff" created by an individual with a disability.
Sarah’s motivation comes from one thing above all else: human connection. Whether it’s helping a young adult prepare for their future, matching a shopper with a long-loved item, or simply offering a moment of positivity to someone who needs it, those connections are what make the work meaningful.
For Sarah, choosing Goffstown was an easy decision—it’s home. She is excited to bring more variety to local shoppers in such a quaint and charming village. Second Chances will host a soft opening on February 7, 2026, followed by a grand opening celebration on February 22, 2026, featuring music, food, and more.
Second Chances—a place where positivity, purpose, and community come together.
