2026 GMSP Rules & Regulations
Goffstown Main Street Program’s (GMSP) primary goal is the economic vitality of the Historic Village of Goffstown, and we are honored to have you as a partner. We host events to showcase the historic village and all it has to offer. Our events serve the dual purpose of building a stronger community as well as promoting the historic village as a place to shop, eat, live, and work. In return, GMSP hopes that you will understand that our policies are to uphold(?) the best interest of all parties as well as the businesses and organizations within the historic village (ourselves included). As such, GMSP may need to limit vendors/exhibitors that directly compete with the sales and services of the businesses in the historic business district. Above all, we want our events to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our guests. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email info@goffstownmainstreet.org.
-
Event will be held rain or shine unless there is a safety issue. We suggest you be prepared for inclement weather (canopies, rain shields, etc.). If we need to cancel the event for safety reasons, we will contact you via email as soon as that decision is made.
-
We reserve the right to assign your booth space unless you own the underlying property. Since we must take into consideration your requirements for space, electricity, and our permanent businesses’ sensitivities, we ask that you NOT plan with property owners to locate your own space.
-
Set up begins at 8:00am. Please be ready by 9:30am and remain open until 3:30pm. This helps to keeps our guests engaged throughout the duration of the event.
-
On the morning of the event, please check in at the Goffstown Main Street Program Office at 4 Main Street, #2 BEFORE you set up to ensure you have correctly identified your spot and that nothing has changed. The decision where to place your booth made by the Goffstown Main Street Program is final. Even if you have been a partner with us in the past, we cannot guarantee the same location each year. Please do not ask to be moved unless there is an issue of safety. We may ask you to move if an unforeseen problem arises such as weather. Our overall event plan must be taken into consideration.
-
Once your items are unloaded, please park at either SAU parking lot or Maple Avenue School --- do not wait until you are set up; others also need to unload. Please DO NOT park in the spaces downtown on the street or at local businesses as we keep the closest spots available for our event guests or customers of our area businesses.
-
You are responsible for providing a table, a tent, or another way to display your items.
-
You are responsible for removing your own trash. We remove the trash from the public receptacles, but you can help us by taking away the trash that you generate to operate your booth. Please do not leave unsold items or empty boxes behind.
-
Please carefully review this list of items you MAY NOT SELL: you may not sell guns, ammunition, fireworks, or “knock-off” items such as watches or purses that are falsely represented as originals. We host family friendly events, this means no items depicting inappropriate themes, violence, etc.
-
Per the Internal Revenue Code, all 501c(3) organizations are prohibited in participating in any political campaigns for public office. Because Goffstown Main Street Program is a 501c3 organization we will not be able to host any vendors solicitating for any candidate, activity or partisan political organization.
-
Main Street reserves the right to be the sole raffle ticket seller at an event. We raise money through our raffles to support our efforts and purpose. There are state and local regulations that apply to raffles, and we must apply for the appropriate permits to hold one. If you set up a raffle (even for a drawing happening in the future), you will be asked to remove it. You may sell tickets for performances or events, but not for games of chance.

Please remember we host these events to bring people to the historic village. The events serve the dual purpose of building a stronger community as well as promoting the historic village as a place to shop, eat, live, and work. Our primary goal is the economic vitality of the historic village and we are glad to have you all as partners. We will continue to invite area non-profits to our events as partners while remains feasible for us to do so. In return, we hope that you will understand that our policies are set with the enjoyment of our guests, and our need to be fair to all parties (ourselves included) in mind. Above all, we want our events to be fun for EVERYONE. If you have a question, please do not hesitate to email at info@goffstownmainstreet.org.
